Understanding ATIP/GCMS

What is ATIP/GCMS?

Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) requests, commonly referred to as GCMS (Global Case Management System) notes, are a powerful tool for individuals seeking detailed information about their Canadian immigration applications.

These notes are the official records held by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) regarding your specific case.

Types of ATIP/GCMS

GCMS notes are the detailed internal records of your IRCC application, while ATIP is the legal process we use to request them.
